#InThisTogether: supporting our industries in the fight against Covid-19

It’s our job at Little Cricket PR to raise the profiles of our clients in broadcast, event and entertainment technology – some of the sectors that have been hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.   Over the last few weeks it’s saddened me to read story after story about companies in these industries going out of business and freelancers struggling to make ends meet, but I’ve also been amazed at how many people, despite their own struggles, are going out of their way to support their neighbours, the NHS and their communities.  Broadcast professionals volunteering for the NHS, exhibition teams building temporary hospitals, technology manufacturers making masks and event suppliers providing everything from portaloos to furnishings for charities and shelters – these are just some of the ways that the people from the industries we represent are proving that we really are all #InThisTogether.

I’m also very aware that many companies have made the difficult choice to furlough all but essential staff, so - despite the importance of marketing and public relations during a crisis - your marketing team is probably currently unavailable, which means that many of these good deeds may not be receiving the attention they deserve.  And, while I know that you’re not doing any of this for publicity, I believe that one good turn deserves another.

So, I’ve decided to do something to highlight how the businesses and people in the broadcast, event and entertainment technology sectors are playing our part in the fight against Covid-19.  To this end, I’d like to invite anyone who works in these industries to send me videos, photos and details of how you and your teams (or other companies and individuals that you know or work with) are supporting the fight against Covid-19 and helping those less fortunate during these challenging times.  We’ll use your submissions and our network of contacts to produce and distribute content that celebrates our industries’ role in surviving the pandemic and raises the profile of the companies and individuals that are generously volunteering their time, energy and resources during this crisis.  How you act in times of adversity can have a massive impact on your public relations and the success of your business going forward and, when this is all over, we’d like your contribution to be remembered.

Please email submissions, queries and suggestions to info@littlecricketpr.co.uk and please share this with anyone you think may benefit from getting involved.
